Bio

I've always liked cats and photographs, particularly old snaps. I'd spend hours looking through the dusty shoeboxes of family photos trying to find myself. While in London as a teenager I found an image of an African lady in a derelict house, she's here with her white handbag clutched to her knee. I often wonder about her story. Found images can be the most intriguing.

I'm a freelance photographer specialising in low light flashless photography. I work with a range of clients including performance artists, musicians and club promoters. I don't tend to take stock photos of clubbers, preferring to capture the odd little moments and general atmosphere of the event.

Some of the testimonials and comments for my work.

I am just going through some show pictures that Von took last year. They immediately evoke the excitement and atmosphere of the night, I can almost smell the glitter cannons... Von is everything you'd want from a photographer. She is friendly, efficient, and seems to have an innate understanding of the live event; whatever it might be! I can't recommend her highly enough.

Just spent a lovely hour looking through your work. I love it. Makes me want to perform or AT LEAST, go out tonight. Thanks xxxx

Vonalina is one of the most vital and engaging persons to grace the south-west performance scene. A constant pleasure to work with, always professional and engaging, as a documentarian she always places her subjects performative goals first and captures their aesthetic perfectly.

Von has photographed a number of our parties. She has always been a joy to work with. She has a great skill in being friendly and laid back to gain the confidence of our performers to be able to really capture the multitude of acts that are usually going on in a night. She has a real eye for detail and an amazing ability to document our parties, often in difficult lighting conditions and a fog of smoke, I hope we can work together again

I was pleased to ask Von to get involved with Time To Talk Day 2016.
I felt she was a perfect fit for the sort of photography we wanted on the day, a combination of laid back, casual capturing the spirit of the day alongside more formal portrait shots of our distinguished guests. With her awareness of the complexities of the project and friendly approach, Von delivered Time to Change an excellent set of photographs that have been widely used in social media campaigns and other organisations.
I look forward to working with her again in the future on many more projects
